HISTORY

The ČKD Blansko Engineering continues a long-time tradition of foundry and machinery production in Blansko, the beginning of which goes back to the 17th century when the first iron mill was founded in Blansko. The following period of the machinery production development, after the iron works in Blansko had become a part of the concern Českomoravská – Kolben – Daněk a.s. in 1927, was already associated with the production of hydraulic machines and machine equipment for mills. The first hydraulic turbine was fabricated in Blansko at the turn of the 19th and 20th century
1950 - the independent state-owned company ČKD Blansko was established; it especially focused on the hydraulic machine production including research and development
1996 – under a privatization project of the ČKD Blansko, a.s. and a transition to the holding structure, the independent joint-stock company ČKD Blansko Engineering was established as a direct successor of the activities in research, design, erection, and measurement of hydraulic machines
2006 – ČKD Blansko Engineering, a.s. becomes a member of the group of companies LITOSTROJ POWER which is a part of the association CIMOS Group
