ČKD Blansko Engineering, a. s. will modernize TG2 turboset at HPP Wroclaw I. in Poland

The ČKD Blansko Engineering, a. s. has been successfully building up a position in the Polish market of a reputable expert in the field of hydro power plant modernization. 
The rehabilitation of the small hydro power plant of Žur (2x 4,4 MW) was followed by the overhaul of turbosets TG 3 and TG 4 at the pump storage hydro power plant  Žarnowiec, where the company ČKD Blansko Engineering, a. s. rendered the technical assistance and coordination at the solution of matters related to the overhaul and modernization of the reversible turbine important parts; engineering of the whole overhaul and modernization; production documentation for the turbine and butterfly valve overhaul and modernization; supplies and repair of designated equipment; supervision of the turboset disassembly, assembly, and commissioning; implementation of the starting-up algorithm modification at low heads.

Another hydro power plant in Poland, where the ČKD Blansko Engineering, a.s. will execute the turboset overhaul and modernization, is HPP Wroclaw I – vertical Kaplan turbine with output 1760 kW and runner diameter 3000 mm.

The subject of delivery is the hydraulic design of new guide vanes and runner blades to ensure the turboset efficiency increase; elaboration of the production technical documentation for the turboset overhaul and modernization; supply of a set of new runner blades; supply of a set of new guide vanes.
