HPP ZNOJMO - TG2 rehabilitation

In April 2010 a contract was signed with the company E.ON Czech Republic, Ltd. for the rehabilitation of TG2 turboset at the small hydro power plant Znojmo.
The rehabilitation includes a supply of new runner blades for a horizontal Kaplan bulb turbine with diameter 1000 mm. The replacement of the blades will enhance the efficiency by approximately 3% within the whole operation range; the adjustment of the blade fixing in the trunnion will eliminate the occurring blade fatigue impairment. Moreover, the 750kW generator overhaul will be executed, and regulation and control systems will be modernized.
At present, runner blade model is under fabrication. The turboset dismounting will  start on 30 July, 2010. The term of the completely rehabilitated equipment acceptance was established for 30 November, 2010.
