INDIAN AMBASSADOR´ S VISIT TO ČKD BLANSKO ENGINEERING, a.s.

On 18 May, 2010 we were favored with a visit of H.E. Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic, Mr Dinkar Prakash Srivastava.

At the beginning of the visit, members of the company group of CIMOS – LITOSTROJ POWER d.o.o. and ČKD Blansko Engineering, a.s. were presented as well as the main activities of the companies, which was  followed by a tour of the hydraulic laboratory where a Francis turbine model measurement was being carried out for HPP Doblar, Slovenia. The Ambassador was also interested especially in our activities in India; we gave him information about the project execution of the pump station complex of CHOKKA RAO GODAVARI LIFT IRRIGATION SCHEME-Phase II in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and about a newly signed contract for an extension of the pump station GANGARAM – Phase III by another 6 pumps. Moreover, we informed him about the preparation of a bid for the project of the pump storage hydro power plant KOYNA with two pump turbines of Deriaz type with maximum output of 2 x 52 MW in turbine mode; this will be a part of the complex of hydro power plants on the lake of KOYNA in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

We appreciate this visit the more as it took place out of the Ambassador´ s own initiative, which shows his interest in Czech companies´ activities in India; he obtained information about our company´ s developing activities from different independent sources.
